Snow Much Fun

It's been nearly 10 years to the day of our last great snowfall. We enjoyed a full day of snowflakes yesterday!

We slept in, made Nueske's bacon from WI for breakfast and soft pretzels and cheese curds for lunch, played games, shoveled, made bolognese for dinner, and watched a movie. And school and dance were cancelled today. The slowdown of snow days is pure magic.

Snow Much Fun

2 days off school brought lots of snow fun!  Sledding, snow angels, snow ball fights, neighbors around to play.  I was sad to send the girls back to school today!

Blizzard 2016

A record-setting 30+" of snow yesterday!  Quite something to see.  With the exception of Amma's flights being cancelled it's been complication-free.  We're all safe and warm and playing.  Thanks for the calls and texts!

Christmas in WI

Christmastime along with the annual Michels Leadership Conference brought us all back to Wisconsin for a whole week right after New Years.

We celebrated a wonderful Christmas with everyone!
Man, were these 3 happy to see each other again!  As usual they were noisy and hyper and into everything and it was great.
We played lots of games.
And relaxed together.
Chris brought some wing ribs home for folks to play and help with.
And we were lucky enough to get some real winter weather (snow and temps below zero) which thrilled the trio.
They call 1* bike riding weather!
Since Natalie missed the week of school we took an educational trip to the Capitol.  She took notes while we were there, made a poster when we got home, and presented it to her class.
We also celebrated Audrey's birthday at the end of the week.  She's getting really good at present hunting!
She was crazy excited about her awesome cake, thanks to awesome Amma.
Thanks for a wonderful visit and Christmas and birthday, Deschanes!
