Natalie's 5 year Studio Award

 This year marks Natalie's 5th year of dance! 

Mrs. Jen presented her with a trophy and pin at Friday's recital.

She has taken to it all like a (flying) fish to water. Her dedication to show up day after day, give it her all, encourage and help others along the way, and be better than she was yesterday is admirable. She's strong, confident, and a joy to watch. We're proud of her many accomplishments on this stage and others and of the work she puts into all of it.

Prom

Thanks to some senior friends not using their plus-one tickets, these beautiful besties got to go to Prom this year! 

Licensed

We're now members of the "What are our new insurance premiums?!" Club! She practiced hard for 6 months, we held on tight, and we're proud to say that we now have a 3rd licensed driver in our house!

Her/their first solo outing was to meet me for lunch. Her celebration choice was Thai noodles.

The second solo outing was to the grocery store. They came home with everything on the list and beautiful flowers! They got them in the clearance section because they know I appreciate a good deal and used their own money.

We're entering a whole new world! Hopefully one where the speed limit is obeyed and all 4 wheels stay on the ground. Be careful, sweet girl, and keep doing a great job behind the wheel!

Sweet Sixteen Skittle

How can it be? This beautiful, smart, kind, empathetic, energetic, songbird is 16!

Since the DMV is closed on Sundays, we had to fill our time otherwise. She chose a Sherlock Holmes themed escape room. We escaped. It was elementary. We also had the first family swim of the season!

Her birthday dinner choice was drunken noodles. For dessert, honey lavender cheesecake.

Was there a car in any of these boxes? Yep. A matchbox Jeep. But today she became road official!

It's hard to believe we're here but we could not be prouder of how she handles herself and know she'll continue to blow through each challenge that comes her way. Let's just hope stop signs don't = challenges!

NHSDA for Audrey

Audrey was inducted into the National Honor Society for the Dance Arts yesterday! NHSDA recognizes outstanding artistic merit, leadership, and academic achievement in students studying dance.  

Natalie, a member as well, got to present the certificate to her sister.

Several friends are new members as well.

So much beauty, grace, and grit in these hard-working young people!

Nutcracker Imaginarium

How blessed we are this Christmas by this wonderful show, the family who traveled far to be with us, the friends who came to watch, and the amazing staff at The Studio who gave these girls the experience of a lifetime together. There are no words for our joy and pride.
