Natalie Gets Stranded

I first trimmed Natalie's hair at 19 months but yesterday she had her first cut in a salon.  Karen at Strands in Brenham has been entrusted with Holley locks for many years so we were in good hands.  Lolo and Mom were getting cuts and I asked her if she wanted one too.  Her response - "Yes, I sure would like my very own haircut!"

She did wonderfully!  Don't be fooled - the look of skepticism on her face is merely being embarrassed that I'm ruining her grown up moment by taking a picture.

She didn't have much cut off in terms of length but had split ends removed, lengths evened up, and layers added.  She wouldn't leave her hair down to get an "after" picture but you can tell the difference by how much more tidy her ponytail is.
She really enjoyed adding another grown-up activity to her quickly-expanding repertoire.

Snip

More Audrey news!  Her hair was several different lengths across the back and getting a bit straggly so I trimmed it up this morning - her summer 'do.  Her 1st haircut!

Before

After and stylin' (for you, Aunt Sami!)

And as of now, yesterday's walking post is outdated. She's now regularly letting go of furniture and taking off.  She's literally getting more confident by the day.  Tomorrow we expect she'll be running hurdles!

First Haircut

How long did we wait for Natalie to have hair at all?! I wondered if we'd see the day that it needed to be cut. While it didn't need much she was getting a bit of a mullet in the back so I trimmed about an inch from just the bottom in the back right before New Years (age 19 months).

She's stylin' now!
