Who'd have thought her head could get bigger?

Natalie had a very good check-up today and was declared a healthy 6-month-old. Here's how she stacked up.

Height - 24.5 inches, 10th percentile
Weight - 13 lb. 3.2 oz., 5th percentile
Head circumference - 43.2 cm., 70th percentile (2 months ago it was 47th)

She's holding true as short and thin with a giant melon. Mensa, here she comes!

She got 4 shots today and handled them very well (though this picture was clearly taken before the shots).

Green beans - I do not like them.

Happy Half Birthday, Natalie!

Today is Natalie's first half birthday and it's hard to believe she's 6 months old already! She's growing quickly, doing new things all the time (most recently sitting up for short periods and eating green beans), and keeping us on our toes. She's a great baby and we're loving every minute.

Trip to Goodman Park

We went to Goodman Park in northern WI on one of our last trips to the cabin and our sister-in-law, Emily, took some awesome pictures of a snowsuit-clad Natalie. Thanks, Auntie Em!

Adventures in Eating

Natalie started solids (only rice cereal so far) a couple of weeks ago. She's still getting the hang of it and doesn't seem wild about rice cereal but really who can blame her. We just keep promising that it will lead to more fantastic things - cheese, bacon, ice cream, and sushi!
