Cabin in June

During June we also got to spend some wonderful time up north.

There was time at the lake.  Boppa's famous canoe rides and fishing tutelage.
 And a little toe dangling.
We also celebrated Natalie's birthday with Amma and Boppa.  As usual, they outdid themselves.
And thanks to one of their gifts Natalie and Dad got in an airplane practice build.
There was even a visit in Crivitz for an Anderson campout at Great Grandma and Great Grandpa's house.
What Deschane event would be complete without a food, water, or some other playful fight, especially if an uncle or two and/or Boppa is around?  This one involved Nerf guns and a frightening display of destructiveness from both girls.
What they have yet to learn is you shouldn't sneak attack those who freely provide the cookies.
We loved our cabin time, as we always do.  Thanks, Amma, Boppa, and Uncle Benny!

June in Neenah

We were blessed to get to spend the month of June at home in Neenah.  While it was bittersweet the time was precious and full of time with friends.

We had lots of folks over.
They're doing kid yoga.
We celebrated birthdays.
We went to lots of play dates at others' houses.  Yes, you are counting 7 kids.  And that's only about half our group!
 Note Simon in front.
Note Simon's gatekeeping big brother, Levi. :)
The kids started a band.
We went to lots of story times including one at the Gardens of the Fox Cities about butterflies.

We enjoyed a live concert by local kid legend, Tom Pease.  They even volunteer to go up front and dance!
And we enjoyed one of our favorite Neenah summertime activities, lunch concerts in the park.

I like the music.  The girls prefer the fountain.
It was a wonderful time with wonderful people.  We miss you all.

Mulberry Lane Petting Farm

While in Neenah in June we made sure to make a return trip to Mulberry Lane Farm where last year we had lots of fun and Natalie acquired her baby chick imaginary friends, an obsession which has taken on a life of its own.

Our dear friends, the Schulzs, joined us.
We chased piglets,
Got up close and personal with a cow

 And a calf,
 Rode ponies,
 Went on a hayride,
 Caught a chicken,
 Shared a chicken,
Fed goats,
Held goats,
And got fed on by goats.

Audrey got to see her favorite bunnuns.
And Natalie returned to her beloved baby chicks.  Somehow their pokey toenails weren't as well-received this year.
They much preferred webbed duck feet.
It was a great day on the farm!

Followed by a great dinner at Kim, Oliver (aka Super Dude), and Miles' (who we can no longer call Baby Miles) house.  Thanks, Schulzs!
