Easter

We attended the Easter Vigil so we did not get any pictures all dressed up but here are scenes from a blessed Easter at our house. He is risen!

NHSDA for Audrey

Audrey was inducted into the National Honor Society for the Dance Arts yesterday! NHSDA recognizes outstanding artistic merit, leadership, and academic achievement in students studying dance.
Natalie, a member as well, got to present the certificate to her sister.
Several friends are new members as well.

So much beauty, grace, and grit in these hard-working young people!

Downtown Solos

Both girls have been working hard in their select music ensembles, auditioning for and winning solos that they've been honored to perform in some historic downtown Harrisburg locations.

First, Soaring Voices performed at the state capitol last week.

Then in the Pine St. Presbyterian church on Tuesday evening. Natalie's moving solo opens a song called "Does the World Say?"

The Mountain View Jazz Band performed in Strawberry Square this afternoon.

6th grade Audrey: I am not brave enough to try out for jazz band.
7th grade Audrey in jazz band: I am not brave enough to try out for a solo.
8th grade Audrey rocking her lively solo in a swing piece called "Thumb"
Watching kids grow and conquer is one of the absolutely most cool things. So proud of our note-worthy musicians!

Audrey's Confirmation

God bless Audrey Vitus on her Confirmation! We were blessed with many travelers for the occasion - Amma, Boppa, Aunt Sam, Uncle Gus, Nell, Lolo, and Papa Don. Audrey chose godmother Samantha as her sponsor and we're thankful for the guidance she's given her in her faith for her whole life. Audrey is a woman of God and we are overjoyed as she continues to grow in holiness.

Fun photos from the week!

Shrek

Another fantastic CVHS musical! We loved our journey to the swamp with these fairytale fugitives. Vocals and dancing were amazing and Natalie loved being a dance captain this year!

Thanks to all who came out for the Madness.

Remember, let your freak flag fly and watch out for men with pitchforks!
