My Broadway Birthday

I rang in 37 in style and spoiled! Thanks to the long holiday weekend and an idea from my awesome hubby we took a trip to NYC.
Wagamama is a long favorite from our Euro-days.  The girls now love it too.
Yummy at 24,

Yummy now.
We saw Stomp!  Incredible isn't a strong enough word.  I'll now look at plastic grocery bags and plungers as musical instruments.
We walked 9.5 miles (my phone said) all around the city.  We saw Times Square,
The Richard Rogers theater (yes, we consider this a landmark though we didn't see Hamilton - yet),
 Rockefeller Center,
The Lego store at Rockefeller Center :),
The Empire State Building, Chrysler Building, Grand Central Station, and Madison Square Garden,
 Wall Street,
And took the ferry to view the Statue of Liberty.
We also went to the 9/11 Memorial and Alexander Hamilton's grave but didn't think it most respectful to take pictures there.

Back home we celebrated together on Monday as we're not all in the same place at any time on Tuesdays. Thank you, everyone, for most generous and thoughtful gifts.  The girls used their own money to buy earrings and a bracelet for me that says "mother daughter friends."  Mom cry.
Fruit pizza, a my-birthday classic.
I was spoiled by everyone. We had a blast on our travels and the girls were wonderful, excited sightseers.  Their appetite for adventure and new experiences was a gift in and of itself. Chris worked hard to make sure I had whatever I wanted for days. I received so many messages from family and friends near and far. Thanks to each you! This birthday is one for the memory books.

Audrey's Birthday Party

Audrey asked to take 2 friends out to lunch and back home to watch a movie to celebrate the big #7. (She picked Olive Garden and Cars 3.) We had a great time with these sweet girls!
